Special architectural project in the exposition of contemporary art Art-Manege was not addressed to professionals. «Formula Mariinka» is an attempt to present the most important event of architectural life of recent years, the competition for reconstruction of Mariinsky theatre in Saint-Petersburg, in a mode adequate to contemporary way of perception. Multimedia installation unites the video clips, where projects of leading Russian architects and foreign stars are presented as really implemented. Computer-aided simulation helps to incorporate them into the existing cityscape with a high degree of credibility. Common spectator finally receives visual information, so he can choose for himself, what the New Mariinka should become.

The project is accompanied by DVD release.
